As we come to the year's end, many of you are thinking about making charitable donations and we urge you to give to Yavneh. December marks the fifth anniversary of our minyan, where we have created a unique community in which people of all levels of observance participate in a meaningful, halakhic service led by both women and men. We are the only minyan of this kind on the Upper East Side. Together, we have grown to be a small, caring community -- we have supported one another, celebrated smachot and mourned losses.
Today, we are at a threshold. We have held services continuously once a month since 2006 and Rabbi Jeffrey Fox, Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivat Maharat, is now serving as scholar-in-residence. We have introduced new programming, including in‑home learning with Rabbi Rox and our first Friday night service, which took place last spring and was an enormous success.
Each regular service costs $2,500 to run, including facility costs, childcare and leadership. Yavneh’s growth and continuation is not possible without your generous financial support. Help us take Yavneh to the next level by sending us your tax-deductible contribution today. Because we are a small organization, your gift will make a tangible impact. One hundred percent of your contribution will go to the expenses of running our service. By helping sustain us financially, you help ensure Yavneh's continued growth and success.
